Music education programs have produced the best results out of the all the education programs. Many people are still amazed by the results that music programs create. Here's what music can do.

According to the College-Bound Seniors National Report, students who took the SAT, with taking a music course, scored 53% higher on the verbal test and 53% higher on the math test.

Education in music training teaches better than computer training. Students who took music instead of computer education increased their abstract thinking, which is used for math and science. Most Early Childhood schools gave their students piano lessons rather than computer.

There is also another study conducted by the University of California that showed students who have high levels of musical education also had high test scores in math. These tests were done on underprivileged students in the Los Angeles area. Underprivileged students with music involvement pulled ahead of their Middle-class students in math by 33.1%

With all this talk about music, we tend to forget that other Arts education programs exist.

To help delinquent kids struggling in school, the U.S. Department of Justice created the Youth Arts Education Development program to help them stay in school and get better grades. Due to the education programs the students behavior calmed down and they enjoyed going to school.

Students who study and act out Shakespeare's plays often have a higher level of reading comprehension. Because Shakespeare's plays are harder to understand and act, the person will have exercised their reading level making them able to reader harder text.

These are just some examples of the many benefits Art Education Programs have to offer. If your school doesn't have any Art related education, then I would suggest giving your kid private music lessons or take them to a drawing class. The benefits of Art Education can't be ignored.
