Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs)—Health Aspects Research paper

BACKGROUND

Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) occur when electricity is utilized and conducted. Electromagnetic radiation is produced by the combination of these electric and magnetic forces. EMFs occur everywhere in our environment: electric blankets, toasters, microwaves, cellular phones, power lines, and so on. In the last decade some researchers have attempted to link exposure to EMFs to a higher frequency of cancer occurrences. Research is ongoing and there is much debate on this topic.
