The speaker in the speech uses the gestures a lot, showing his involvement in the process, his interest, his devotion and beliefs in what he says will come true. He gesticulates frequently, he communicates with the audience, and he gives his attention and his thoughts. While the speaker talks about education, alternative energy, tax cuts and the economy, he explains things, he jokes about different things, and he makes the perception of his speech easier for all people. He makes everyone understand him, as he uses simple words, he explains his thoughts and he truly believes in what he is saying. The speaker promises things and he sees the people’s positive reaction, all of the people are involved in the process and they are glad to hear what the speaker is saying.
As a fact, there is a lot of eye contact that a speaker makes with different people making them believe, understand and hope. The volume the speaker talks loud enough, convincingly and clear. There is also nonverbal communication used by a speaker, that shows how he turns to the people, he makes eye contact, speaks louder sometimes, points his finger, turns, smiles. The speaker has the target audience in front of him and he is addressing them what he considers they want to hear, what is important for them, what they expect to hear and to change. The speaker named the exact issues, the basic facts about them, then he also gives options and this way tells people what can be done about that. And finally, the speaker gives a proposal where he describes what he believes he is right, what should be done and also describes policies and plans to deal with the problems. The speaker tried to seem the ordinary person who lives in the same country and wants the same changes, and that is why he was trying to convince people that he is the only one who will provide the necessary changes, make the situation better and give people the things they want.
The speaker tries to speak as naturally as possible, as it is important for people to believe that he is saying the truth and that the promises will be made. The speaker keeps the language simple, does not use any jargon or abbreviations, which the audience may not understand. He uses his true feelings when he speaks. The speaker does not humiliate people, he uses humor frequently and he pays attention to those who listen to him. The confidence of the speaker and his uniqueness make him a successful speaker. And also, the speaker sometimes says the things that audience would not expect, but he knows that they will like and appreciate what he is going to say.
Emotions, the true belief into what the speaker was saying helped him to convince the audience to believe him, to trust him and to vote for him in the future. The speaker was successful in the delivery of information to all those people. I would give a grade 10 out of 12 for the delivery of new information by the speaker to people.
