Against the Ball Park
The costs of the building of the Ball Park will be enormous and they will become an unbearable burden for Seattle’s budget and tax payers. The building of the Ball Park will require consistent changes in the current tax policies and the main purpose and outcome of the new tax policies will be the substantial rise of taxes. Firstly, the building of the Ball Park will lead to the raise of the sales tax during twenty years period that may discourage business activities in the Seattle area because the high sales tax discourage the development of trade and business. Hence, tax payers will not just pay higher taxes but they are likely to face difficulties in their business development and the overall slowdown of the local economy. Furthermore, each family building a home in the Seattle area will pay extra $200 just because of the building the Ball Park. Moreover, the overall costs of the building of the Ball Park may exceed $250 million tax increase. So, practically all tax payers will be affected by the tax rise caused by the building of the Ball Park.
For the Ball Park
The construction of the Ball Park will costs just a few dollars per person in tax rise. For instance, a resident of Seattle will pay just the price of a movie ticket to build the Ball Park that is not a lot of money to pay. So residents of Seattle may refuse from going to a movie and just spend a night with their family and they will get the Ball Park built. Moreover, the tax rise will not affect all residents of Seattle, whereas those, who are affected by the tax rise, will pay affordable taxes and they will not notice the tax rise.
