Every day many people faced to different questions, which connected with their gifts, talents and unique abilities. I think that talent, for example, is a special gift to man, which allows him to find his vocation in life. Talent in a man “does not appear from somewhere”, because it germinates and grows through trainings and time. If a man has a talent, it does not disappear in anyway.
I would like to tell about myself in this paper. Every person has own talents and unique abilities, and that is why I’m not an exception from this rule. I consider myself an extraordinary person, and like such person, I’m interested in different spheres of life. Among them I could define business sphere and human resources area. These areas are full of mysterious secrets and I strongly believe that they will help me to achieve self-development and self-realization.
I think that I have business talents and my talents are possible to apply in human resource area. I like people and I like to help them, I like to find right business decisions and create new possibilities for people. Talent makes the human personality, and in many cases due to it, the person often becomes the object of universal attention. Talent makes people to find something new, unusual in everyday life. For people who do not know own talents, it seems like something impossible; they even consider it a miracle. Why does person need talent? It seems to me that unique abilities allow people to stand out from the crowd, to create something new, to push off from the everyday life. If the talent presents in person’s life, it is necessary to develop it, to demonstrate it to people and do something useful that world needs.
Thinking about myself I would like to mention that the vector of economic development, directed towards a market economy, decreed a new look at the key component of business – human resources, and accordingly to it to the maintenance of management. I can communicate with people in effective way and this talent will help me to be successful in human resource sphere. Columbia Southern University, in my opinion, is a place where I could develop my natural abilities and it will be good answer to nowadays financial crisis. Analyzing chosen area of my talents implementation it is necessary to say that there are five main functions performed by managers: planning, organizing, HR management, leadership, control. Connecting all of them together, these functions are what we usually call the process of governance. I know that each of these functions include next moments and exactly all of them I could effectively develop in Columbia Southern University. I will show several examples of these functions for the better understanding of my thoughts.
 Planning: setting goals and standards, development of rules and sequence of actions, plans and forecasts some of the possibilities in the future;
 Organization: setting specific tasks for each subordinate, the division into departments, delegation of responsibilities to subordinates, the development of channel management and transmission of information, coordination of work of subordinates;
 HR management: decision on the definition of a standard for suitable candidates, selection of suitable employees, the selection of employees, setting work standards, workers compensation, performance appraisal, counselling employees, training and development of employees;
 Leadership: the question how to get employees to do their work, moral support, motivation of subordinates;
 Monitoring: the establishment of such standards as sales quota, quality, productivity level, verification of conformity of work with those standards and adjust them if necessary.
Thus, based on all above presented information I strongly believe that my first and big talent is ability to get along with people, to communicate with them and be useful for society. We live in time when effective communication is a gold and all of us should try to develop own talents and achieve own aims.
