In social pedagogic ordinary and multicultural society and a social environment is examined foremost from the point of process of child’s including in it and integration in society on the whole through the nearest social environment. It is necessary to think about how does culture and social environment affect child’s behaviour, how they influence on children’s development. There were used many literature sources in the process for this paper preparation that is why I will try to observe this question from different positions.
From the position of ramification of child development in a multicultural society and world it is necessary to say that exactly from this point of view becomes important a fact that relation of man and external social terms of his life in society has a character of co-operation. Environment is not simply streets, houses and things the location of which is enough to the person to know for an aim to entering in it and feel self in comfort there. An environment – it is yet and the most different communities of people, which are characterized by the special system of relations and rules, spreading to all members of this community. Therefore, from one side, a man brings in it something new, up to a point influences on it, changes it, but at the same time, and an environment influences on a man, produces the requirements to him. It can accept a man, some his acts, displays, and can reject; can behave to him benevolently, and can hostilely. Attitude of environment toward a man is determined by that, as far as his conduct corresponds to expectations of environment. The conduct of man is in a great deal determined by that, what position he occupies in society.
According to Berk (1993) a man can occupy in society simultaneously several positions. So, a woman can be a teacher, wife, and mother. Every position produces to the man certain requirements and at the same time gives some rights to him. Such position of man in society, characterized by certain rights and duties, in sociology it is named social status. Some statuses are given to us from the birth. So, status of man can be conditioned by sex, nationality, the place of birth, last name and other factors. Such statuses are usually named innate, or prescribed. Others are determined by what a man obtained in society independently, due to own efforts and developmental factors. For example, status of social pedagogue is got by a man who was taught in corresponding professional educational establishment and got a diploma on this speciality. In this case it is talked about status attained, or purchased.
Status determines the behaviour of a child in society in that sense, that in certain situations personality behaves not simply so, as he wants, but in accordance with the status, by analogy with that, how behave themselves in similar situations other people. It is also important to remember what surrounding people expect from a child in these situations of certain behaviour. In such case a child as though is forced to play a certain role. Therefore, such expected behaviour, conditioned by status of a person, is named a social role.
Pinker (1994) was sure analysing cultural influence of surrounding on child’s behavioural aspects we see that mastering of different social roles is the major constituent of process of personality’s socialization. However, complication consists in that in society there are statuses not only approved to them but also such which conflict with public norms and values. Therefore, in the process of making and development a child can master both positive and negative social roles. Foremost, to the positive roles it is necessary to take the role of family member. In family a child masters a few such roles: son or daughter, brother or sister, nephew, grandchild, and also meets with the roles of father and mother, grandmother and grand-dad etcetera. A next important role which is mastered by a child in the process of the development, in spite of cultural influences, – it is the member of collective. In kindergarten and school, in a sport section and child’s public organizations, in socializing with coevals a child masters the roles of member of collective, comrade, friend, student, leader and many other. Also everybody plays role of consumer, because person during all life constantly needs some things that he needs for life: food, clothes, shoes, books and other necessary things. Understanding of this role and ability to use services, which are given to the man by society, in reasonable way, a child must master from babyhood.
