Buy essay on Online education can’t replace tradition classroom setting education

Online education and tradition classroom setting education is a topic for different debates nowadays. It is necessary to think about these two directions in education with more details and discuss their advantages and disadvantages in the body of this work. Thinking about background of this topic it is necessary to mention that a transition from industrial to informative society requires substantial changes in many directions of activity of the state and first of all in the field of education. Basic direction of development of traditional education is its modernization.
During several last decades online education offered competition to traditional education and in many parts of educational levels they even connected with each other. Defining main terms of our work we should say that in the modern sense, the meaning of the term “traditional education” can be characterized as education in schools and classrooms. Thinking about the term “online education” we see that it is one of the perspective directions of development of education that could be controlled from distance. This kind of distance teaching is one of forms of receipt of higher education mainly for people, deprived to possibility to get traditional education, or mature people who want to get the second education or promote the qualification.
In the continuation of our topic I want to use Hafner’s words, who said that “if the mission of the university is the creation of knowledge (via research) and the dissemination of knowledge (via teaching and publishing), then it stands to reason that giving that knowledge away fits neatly with that mission.” (Hafner, April 16, 2010) It is necessary to remember that online education is a good variant of self-education, but every person needs somebody to talk with and discuss received information, that is why in this component online education is not perfect.
There are many differences between traditional and online education and it will be wrong to say that some kind is better than other one. For example, traditional education is more popular and it allows students in the class to communicate with each other and learn something new and important during such communication. In its turn online education won in financial sphere, because you can receive knowledge everywhere you are and do it in comfortable for you time. All job opportunities mostly open for people who received traditional education, because many employers still rank applicants with online degrees lower than those with traditional degrees. The question about the quality of online or traditional degrees is still open in all scientific circles, but in my opinion people should be equal in their rights and kind of education shouldn’t influence on employers’ decisions.
Developing my arguments it is necessary to emphasize that online education has big future, but it shouldn’t fight against traditional forms of education. I would like to quote Regier’s words, who said that “the technology will be used to create learning communities among students in new ways. But people are correct when they say online education will take things out the classroom. But they are wrong, I think, when they assume it will make learning an independent, personal activity. Learning has to occur in a community.” (Lohr, August 19, 2009)
Thus, based on all above stated information and taking into account all pros and cons arguments we could come to the conclusion that every kind of education is necessary and people should have opportunity to choose that kind of education that will answers on needs of concrete person in concrete moment of time. I strongly believe that online education can’t replace tradition classroom setting education, but it doesn’t mean that we should fight against online education. I like the position that online education should be considered the part of traditional education, its necessary component, because controlled from distance teaching on the basis of modern information technologies satisfies to all requirements of new educational paradigm of post-industrial society: first of all – it allows to make mass education for all categories of student regardless of place of their residence, in addition, open, personality oriented and continuous teaching of man during all conscious life.
