My opinion is that electric power cars are rather popular comparing with gasoline power cars due to their numerous advantages.

Cars of this type are absolutely harmless to environment as they work exclusively on electric traction. Hence, they do not pollute atmosphere. To be correct, the amount of poisonous gas that goes into atmosphere during the charge and discharge of rechargeable batteries is several hundred times less than one during the work of internal combustion engines. There are autonomous heaters that heat electric power cars in winter. But they do not pollute atmosphere as strongly as internal combustion engines do; besides they consume 20 times less fuel.
As to their safety, electric power cars are not only safe for environment, but also for a driver. Thus, these cars have such qualities as explosion safety and fire safety, alongside with airbags. I’d like to emphasize what it means: it means that life and health of a driver and his passengers will be subject to a smaller risk.
One of the major indisputable advantages of electric power cars is their usability and the convenience of fuelling. Very often gasoline power cars make drivers change their plans during the journey and make them head for the service station. However the owners of electric power cars can charge their cars at home; thus they are not afraid that a car will fail in unpropitious moment.
I think that one of the major advantages of electric power cars comparing with gasoline power cars is the simplicity of its construction. Many systems that are present in traditional cars, are absent in electric power cars: transmission, fuel system, clutch etc. However, the absence of the most important systems of gasoline power cars proves to be one of the major merits of electric cars, for the simplified design in this case is the pledge of reliability and durability of electric cars service. There is almost nothing to break in these cars. The electric motor possesses a very attractive characteristic: on low speeds of rotation it has a high driving moment. That is very important when it is necessary to start off or to overcome a difficult part of the road. Therefore it is much easier to drive an electric power car than a car with a mechanical gear box.
I will also point out one more advantage of electric power cars that is connected with the simplicity of their construction – they are economy cars. I consider it to be an indisputable fact that the service of simple mechanisms is always cheaper than the service of their more intricate analogues. This statement is absolutely true in case of electric power cars. Moreover I’m sure that buying the electric power car, its owner will spend less money for its service, comparing with an owner of a gasoline power car. Electric power cars do not consume oil, they have a simpler cooling system, and they do not have a fuel system at all. The charging of a car is definitely cheaper than gasoline the price of which grows every day.
