Buy essay on The Underlying Story

A man is a social human being. Almost the whole life person is surrounded by other people. Therefore accomplishing one or another act, we in any case look around on society, hoping on their support and fearing their conviction. The same we set on own scopes, limit ourselves in our thoughts and actions. There are thousands of such examples. It is stereotypes, original contribution to society. It is unwritten laws and rules which it is allegedly necessary to observe. They are enough often baseless and farfetched. According to Ewen and Ewen (2006) a concept “stereotype” is very well described in their work, where they said that: “A stereotype is a commonly held public belief about specific social groups, or types of individuals. The concepts of “stereotype” and “prejudice” are often confused with many other different meanings. Stereotypes are standardized and simplified conceptions of groups, based on some prior assumptions. Generally speaking, these “stereotypes” are not based on objective truth, but rather subjective and sometimes unverifiable content-matter.” Paraphrasing this definition in own words we can mention that it expresses usual attitude of man toward some phenomenon, formed under influence of social terms and preceding experience; component part of setting. Quite often it is synonym of out-of-date and preconceived presentations, related to prejudices.
I would like to take for discussion stereotype from the word of fashion where are popular women with standard 90-60-90. I was always interested in the question where stereotypes are taken from? In obedience to determination, stereotypes are based on earlier experienced situation in the past. Indeed, you are one time burnt oneself on something and then begin to assert that it is badly, wrong, that it assuming is impossible, because such matter-position is initially doomed to the failure. So you create on your own the certain template of conduct, stereotype. But as does turn out so, that this stereotype becomes social? People communicate, exchange of opinions, find like-minded persons, and, that contradicts to their looks, proudly name an exception from rules. But in order that the template of conduct of small group of people became indeed social, universal, time is needed. And it makes its matter. A process of birth of stereotypes is a long process, similarly as well as process of their destruction. Thus, entertaining is that stereotypes are created and destroyed by the same factors among which we can find experience of people and time.
Stereotype of “90-60-90” was perpetuated in the world of fashion and many women suffer from it for a long time. Frankly speaking, this stereotype is still persist in modern culture and it destroys many lives of young lady, who try to reach this standard paying for it with own beauty and health, because it was created by designers stereotype that beautiful female body should be in frames of “90-60-90”. In my opinion it is possible to dispel this stereotype, but it needs not one year for this stereotype destruction. Certainly, times change, stereotypes change. People become more opened, bolder. But delivered from such phenomenon, as a stereotype, does not can fully. We will remember which attitude was formed toward unequal marriages in which one of the couple is rich, and other is poor. Now attitude toward it is much loyally, but nevertheless some its aspects are often reminded by society.
Taking into account all above mentioned we should say that there is an only question disturbs many researches: why does society create stereotypes? Every situation is individual in fact, and everybody is unique. Are people so afraid really to make a mistake? Then all gets up into the places. People try to avoid errors, following templates. And if people will violate their stereotypes, they immediately without ceremony can justify themselves by the same template, saying that the problem is not in the person, but in situation and it was known beforehand that situation will have such end.
