Is one area of moral, social, and political philosophy more important than another?
There are three kinds of philosophies that will be discussed in this paper. It is moral, social and political philosophy. I have to answer on one interesting question: Is one area of moral, social, and political philosophy more important than another? My answer is no, and why it is so I will explain in the next paragraph.
First of all it is necessary to mention that moral, social and political philosophy are important components of our modern life and each of them has its own technical definition and are based on different concrete sets of principles. All of them are necessary and if to compare them with their disposition on the line they will be situated on one line, because each kind of philosophy add something important into another kind and they should exist in balance. For example, it is necessary to mention that each philosophy is beneficial to our life and due their differences and also due to their similarities one philosophy can’t be more important than another. In my opinion way of people thinking can be described by different kind of person’s philosophy and it will be wrong to say that one kind is really better than another or vice versa. According to Nicholson (1990) we should mention one interesting quotation that will explain us the essence of our question: “Having morality in social world that is full of politics, or having politics in a social world filled with morals, is still like having a peanut butter and jelly or jelly and peanut butter sandwich. One still needs the peanut butter, jelly, and bread in some sort of order to get the desired taste he or she seeks.”
Thus, taking into account all above mentioned it is necessary to say that each philosophy is unique part of our reality and they should exist in balance without searches of one or another philosophy importance. I strongly believe that all of them are important in the same degree and based on my explanation I want to say that moral, social and political philosophy help us to create new world and understand its principles and rules.
