Overcoming Risk Factors and Quality Expectations
Obviously, the research will need to take into consideration risk factors that may affect the customer contentment with the quality of online banking services. In this respect, it is primarily necessary to study such risks as the risk of the identity theft and unauthorized use of private information or stealing money online. At this point, it will be necessary to focus on the study of the modern information systems that can prevent customers and banks from information breaches and identity thefts.
The overall quality of online banking services in Saudi Arabia is likely to be high. In this regard, the research should set standards based on standards of quality established in western countries, for instance, the US or the EU. As a result, these standards will be either met by Saudi Arabia or not but the overall quality should be close to western standards because today they are among the most advanced in online banking services.
Methodology
The methodology will involve the analysis of the current use of information technologies and online banking services in Saudi Arabia. In addition, it is important to conduct interviews and questionnaires among customers of banks, employees of bakns, and IT professionals, who can provide the researcher with objective, adequate and accurate information on online banking services, ways of protection of information and other technological aspects of online banking services. The latter is very important in regard to the customer contentment because the customer contentment is grounded on the reliability and quality of online banking services.
Limitations and Opportunities
The research has its limitations. To put it more precisely, it is quite difficult to conduct the qualitative assessment of risks and technological innovations because technologies keep progressing and it is not always possible to define effective technological mechanisms to store and process private information of customers of banks using online banking services. On the other hand, the research will open opportunities to study prospects of the further development of online banking services in Saudi Arabia.
