Next year will be the hot time for rugby fans. In the year of 2011 Rugby WC 2011 will happen. What are forecasts? Speaking about how the Rugby WC 20011 will reasonably satisfy the stakeholders or not, I think I will disagree with the point that it is not going to satisfy the stakeholders, but of course, there can be unexpected situations and then the whole situation will change.
The Rugby World Cup is a main international rugby competition in the world. International Rugby Board (IRB) is interested in competition organization, managing this type of sport, and it is also engaged in organization of tournament by all rules and qualification. In championship the men’s national combined teams take part on competition. Remembering historical information it is possible to mention that the first tournament was conducted in 1987 in Australia and New Zealand, and since those times a competition is conducted one time per four years. This Rugby’s WC has own traditions and among tone of tradition we can define that the winners are awarded the William Webb Ellis Cup that considered the big honor to team members.
Due to the above stated information we know about some organizations for example RWCL and IRB. But it is necessary to discuss them with more details and answer on the question what are they? According to Stakeholder Newsletter we receive the next information: “Who is RWCL? Most know who the IRB are, but what about RWCL? In order to manage the Rugby World Cup Tournaments the IRB has created a separate entity, Rugby World Cup Limited (RWCL). RWCL is responsible for the Rugby World Cup, Women’s RWC, RWC Sevens and qualification events for these tournaments.” These organizations started some serious preparations already. They believe that they still have time to make Rugby World Cup 2011 a successful undertaking.
Rugby’s stakeholders are preparing for Rugby WC 2011 in very accurate way. We are interested in the term stakeholder, because exactly these people are not only rugby’s fans, but they are also people who have influence on teams and results of different matches. For the best understanding of my word it is necessary to use one quotation made by Davies (2004), who stated that “Stakeholders can be defined as “individuals and groups who are affected by the activities of an organization. The most important stakeholders can be seen as those with most to lose from the organization’s actions, but this does not always reflect their relative power.” It is interesting to know will be stakeholders satisfy by the results of matches and how it will be reflects on the language of numbers, because people who put their money in Rugby’s team development wan to receive their money back and they interested not only in the good organization, but also in money question they are interested in a great degree. In continuation of our talk we should mention that talking about the income of the games it also serve as a measure to satisfy the stakeholders because the fans are already willing to buy the ticket fees and this will fetch more money to satisfy the stakeholders.
There were conducted several researches among Rugby’s fans and the question of interview was connected with their wish to visit planned championship in 2011. The results of research had a positive character, because people want to visit Rugby’s tournament and they are ready to pay money for the ticket. The prices will not be too high and they will be something about $15 for children and $30 for adults. Of course, we understand that the most buying craze will begin for 45 days before the Rugby WC 2011 beginning.
If to be more concrete about prices on Rugby’s WC 2011 we should use the next information from official website www.rugbyworldcup.com, which allow us to understand that “children’s priced tickets will be available for all pool matches and the Bronze Final. Snedden emphasized that many matches will be played during the day and we’re keen to see as many families as possible enjoy the RWC 2011 experience. There will be at least one Match at every venue which a family of four can enjoy for between $90 and $120 plus booking fees. An exciting innovation, and a first for a Rugby World Cup, will be the introduction of a payment plan, which will allow fans to pay for their tickets in installments.”
Thus, taking into account all above stated information we could come to the conclusion that the forthcoming Rugby WC 2011 can satisfy its entire stakeholders with these point of view laid down here. I strongly believe that such popular kind of sport as Rugby will be interesting for its public for many years and its fans will try in all possible ways to visit Rugby’s WC 2011 and enjoy the game of their favorite teams.
