“In Bruges” – is a film that is striking in its philosophical depth, dramatic narrative and insanely talented actors who participated in this project.
It was directed by a celebrated Irish playwright Martin McDonagh, and fine acting of Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes makes this film really bright.
“In Bruges” has something of a dark comedy, there are moments of laugh, but yet violence is always on the first place – the comedy and satire is working hand in hand. Also you can find the philosophical idea, and moral complexity of the characters, that makes film deep and thoughtful.
The plot concerns two killers, Ray and Ken, who are sent on leave after difficult work in London. Their boss Harry finds them quiet at first place in Belgium – in the city of Bruges, which is much hotter in terms of risks than in the bustling London.

The director feels what the audience wants and expects to see, he greatly juggles between selective humor, action and drama, thereby creating a gorgeous cocktail, which we used to call “great movie”.
“In Bruges” is attractive in its ambiguity, surprise, which is also evident in the actors’ performances.

Excellent directing, original screenplay, beautiful cinematography, brilliant music and a delightful city create an atmosphere that is simply impossible to describe in words, it simply must see and feel. So “In Bruges” is one of the best films of 2008, which is a pleasant to review, it can be called a real masterwork.
