There are some people with differing view points who state that the phenomenon of illegal immigration is negative. First of all, the main con concerning illegal immigrants is that they are considered to treat and to behave with animosity to the citizens of USA, and there are some examples proving this fact. For instance, in Arizona illegal aliens tried to penetrate possessions of farmers with intention to siege the territory (Michael Scott). And this case is not the only one. Such aliens intended to cause harm or damage possessions, to transport goods illegally are called “coyotes”, i.e. immigrant smugglers. An elderly woman near Barnett make the most of life everyday with a small gun near by, she is scared to walk out when it is dark in order not to meet those who devastated her possessions around the house, turning her into a convict in her own home. Even two dogs she had for protect were poisoned, likely by “coyotes” (Michael Scott). Another con is the immense number of workers among illegal immigrants who take working places of citizens of the US. It is stated that it is not the truth the Americans are not willing take some kinds of jobs and immigrants fill this gap by applying for such jobs where wages are small. “The truth is that uneducated and unskilled Americans won’t live in garages with multiple families, and endure similar hardships to take on backbreaking work at below minimum wages.” (Michael Scott). But it is suggested to close the borders from immigrants, the salaries would increase in order to interest the citizens who are not so well educated to apply for highly paid prestigious jobs. And finally, in contrast to the pro side stated above, a great number of illegal aliens never pay taxes, and this can deteriorate the general economic situation in the country (Michael Scott).

Definitely, the above mentioned statements can be conceded to as credible and reliable but the bulk of immigrants entering the country seeking to find better life do want to make improvements, to bring something positive to the place they live in and, thus the issue cannot be regarded as harmful and negative to the country’s welfare and economy.
So, on the basis of analyzed research works, statistic data, and articles illegal immigration is not negative phenomenon as it possesses more positive features and results in prospering of the country’s economy by keeping the balance of the unemployment rate.
All in all, this issue is an important matter requiring more thorough investigation and study as it remains truly debatable and controversial. Illegal immigrants cause positive effects on the economy of the USA. Of course, the con sides of the immigrants should also be taken into account and the decisions as to whom to let through our borders, and whom to prevent from immigration, should be made through careful, all-embracing and intensive selection following the existing laws.
