Buy essay on Flexibility

Evaluate this statement: “In one word, Flexibility describes the relations between workers and management in the 21st century.”

In the 21 century flexible work arrangements and forms of employment are widely spread, and has proved that flexible relations between management and workers means establishing good relations between the staff and management. The goal is to create an atmosphere in which to maintain productive and harmonious relations between managers and staff, to create a good teamwork. The flexible model of relations in the team goes back to school, human relationships, it focuses on communication, motivation and leadership.( Bosch, G.)
The beginning of the 21st century shows a great change in the “traditional” and acknowledged balance of power in labour markets and the employer-employee relationship. Recent changes in employment practices are so large because the institution of the job has played a role in the lives of American workers which extended far beyond the paycheck.( Robert J. Laubacher, Thomas W. Malone)
As the coming century approaches, though, the organization structures within which the traditional job was embedded appear to be giving way to a new set of arrangements – a flexible ones. (Bosch, G)
That process is connected with the global internationalization and integration processes of the 21 century, that has given a great number of new flexible working places and jobs.
So the statement “Flexibility describes the relations between workers and management in the 21st century” means variations and flexible relations between people within their flexible organizational forms of work.
