In such a way, it is obvious that Lizzie belongs to the upper class. She lives in a prestigious part of the city, she attends pool regularly and she is accustomed to conveniences such as the warm water in the pool. In addition, she lives in a posh apartment and she is quite different from Des. In contrast, Des and Kay are representatives of lower classes, who cannot afford living in the apartment like the one where Lizzie lives in. On analyzing their conversation it becomes obvious that they envy that they do not have such an opportunity to attend pools and complexes. In fact, complexes are a sort of dream place for Des and Kay. They cannot attend complexes on the regular basis whereas Lizzie cannot live through without attending such places from to time. Moreover, for Lizzie such places are places which they are accustomed to attend and they look for a better life and privileges, Des and Kay can only dream of. In this regard, the warm water in the pool seems to be a casual, habitual thing for Lizzie, whereas Des and Kay perceive pools as a great treat, while the warm water seems to be a sort of unthinkable privilege or unnecessary of inconveniences.
Thus, the conversation between Des and Kay reveals their social background as well as the social background of other people around them, like Lizzie. At the same time, they need to develop social relationships with representatives of the upper class like Lizzie to get acquainted with social markers, which are familiar to Lizzie.
