Character name: Lisa Rowe (played by Angelina Jolie).
She is a girl, affected with an antisocial personality disorder, having great power, authority, influence in the film, is the brightest character.
Part A:
1) How does Liza behave?
Jolie’s character is eccentric, as she has an unusual, peculiar, or odd personality. She feels alive and free, dreaming. She can do what she want, wear everything she wants, behave in eccentric way. She doesn’t care the rules and laws. She is free in her manners and behavior.
2) How does Liza look?
We see Lisa Role as young, beautiful and full of seductive charisma and cynical sense of humor. She wears unusual clothes, her style of dressing doesn’t suit that time. Lisa sleeps little, doesn’t eat as a normal person.
3) What does Liza say?
Lisa says what she feels, what she wants, she doesn’t care anyone and anything. Sometimes her phrases had dangerous consequences. She has an unusual viewpoint on life, her thoughts are odd, as she says: “If I could have any job in the world I’d be a professional Cinderella”. Also she says the odd things: “Razors pain you, rivers are damp, acid stains you, drugs cause cramps, gun aren’t lawful, nooses give, gas smells awful, you might as well live.”
4) What do the other characters say about Liza?
Susanna tells Lisa, that she “already is dead” and her heart is “ice cold”. Lisa is a “death, because she has lost sense of life. She is not dead, didn’t kill herself, but she was not able to withstand the bitter truth of life. But Lisa says “I’m not really dead”. Also Susanna says: “You’re just jealous, Lisa… because I got better… because I was released… because I have a chance… at a life”.

Part B: Lisa is:
1) Lisa is belligerent – angry and aggressive girl, has a warlike character. She demonstrates it in a scene in the psych ward. We can see a girl struggling with a policeman and being aggressive, the nurses are trying to keep Lisa in quiet, but cannot do it quickly. She is aggressive with the public as well
2) The character of Lisa Rowe is conniving. This trait means: to be indulgent toward something others oppose or criticize, give aid to wrongdoing. Example of the film to prove my idea is: she mocks her doctors and refuses to take her medication, she encourages Susanna to stop taking her medication as well.
3) Lisa is close-minded. The explanation of trait: intolerant of the beliefs and opinions of others; stubbornly unreceptive to new ideas. She lives in her inner world, doesn’t care of the world around. She does not have friends and family, she doesn’t understand people.
4) Lisa is extraverted – the one whose personality is characterized by extroversion; a gregarious and unreserved person. She is an individual interested in others or in the environment as opposed to or to the exclusion of self. This trait is shown in her eccentric and unusual phrases, peculiar and odd viewpoint on the life. Example of the film to prove my idea is: she says: “You think you’re free? I’m free! You don’t know what freedom is! I’m free! I can breathe! And you – you’re going to go choke on your average mediocre life!”
So Lisa Rowe is the most bright, powerful, dramatic, the most striking character in the film “Girl, Interrupted”.
