In fact, the process of mentoring educators should focus on the professional orientation of students. What is meant here is the fact that students should come prepared to their professional life. This is why they should define beforehand what they actually like to do as their future job. In fact, the professional orientation of children should take place at least two-three years before they graduate from school. In such a way, they will have enough time to get specific, professional training and educators and other specialists working in BBBS should assist children in this regard. At any rate, the mentoring conducted by BBBS should include the professional orientation. In fact, the employment of a child in the desirable field is apparently a tremendous success, which proves that the work of professionals in BBBS is effective.
In such a context, it is hardly possible to speak about revenues in regard to the company but, instead, it is possible to speak about revenues in regard to students, who can be employed due to the training and mentoring programs developed by BBBS. In actuality, it proves beyond a doubt that children that are enrolled in programs of BBBS have poor prospects and they are likely to face a number of problems in their adult life. Instead, the mentoring and training program aiming at children’s professional orientation can bring positive outcomes and contribute to the solution of the problem of choices concerning the future professional career of children. Moreover, professionals working in the BBBS can help children to make the right choice and if the students, on accomplishing his or her education, gets a job he or she wanted to get, then it is possible to speak about the effectiveness of the program and the effectiveness of work of BBBS’ professionals. In such a way, the larger is the number of children employed according to their professional orientation and aims the more successful and effective the program and the work of professionals in BBBS are.
On the other hand, the implementation of such program may needs substantial financial resources. In this respect, it is important to distinguish variable costs and fixed costs. The variable costs include costs that can change and depend on a variety of factors. Among variable costs, it is worth mentioning such costs as transfer of students and mentors, which depends on the location, where students and mentors live and work and where they need to go to. In addition, variable costs are costs of the learning materials, which depend on the specific job or occupation students aim at. In such a way, the variable costs should be calculated carefully and they should not exceed the funds of BBBS directed to fund the program. However, often it is difficult to calculate variable costs and, in such a situation, decisions should be grounded on forecasts and analysis of the situation.
In regard to fixed costs, the situation is much easier and more foreseeable. Fixed costs include costs spent on the maintenance of facilities, time spent on training the work of mentors and contracted employees of BBBS with students and on the program at large. In such a way, BBBS can calculate accurately the funding of fixed costs, which should be covered completely. Otherwise, the effectiveness of the entire program may be under a threat.
Thus, taking into account all above mentioned, it is important to lay emphasis on the fact that the development of mentoring and training program for the professional orientation of students is extremely useful and meet goals and objectives of BBBS. The employment of students in the desired field is the manifestation of the success and effectiveness of work of professionals employed in BBBS as well as the effectiveness of the entire organization.
