The aim is to create a family that will include understanding, patience, love, care and happiness. I think that liberal perspective fits best with my understanding of the family, because there should be given a certain freedom to all of the members of the family. Although there should be created rules, which each family has, but there should be allowed a freedom of choice and the ability to express your own opinion. In the modern world it can be difficult to adapt if a person grew in the conservative family, obeying only limited rules and certain regulations. The family that allows offering new ideas, new ways to behave, to create and to think distinctively can almost guarantee that children will be able to be creative, ready for the challenges, free in their minds and with less fear.
Nowadays, modern family has its traditions that unite all the members of the family. Family traditions are usually accepted norms, manners, habits and attitudes that are passed from generation to generation in the family. Family traditions and rituals are, on the one hand, an important indicator of healthy or functional family, and, on the other hand, the existence of family traditions is one of the most important mechanisms of transmission to future generations of the family laws of intra-interactions: roles in all aspects of family life, rules intra-family communication, including ways to resolve conflicts and overcome problems.
Usually, children, who grew up in the families with love, understanding and traditions, are happier than others and they value their experience and want to create their own family that will have the same traditions, principles and the loving atmosphere. As a rule, family traditions bring together all the family members, making family a real family, not just a community of blood relatives. Domestic customs and rituals can become a kind of inoculation against alienation of children from their parents, their mutual incomprehension.
Today, of the family traditions is left only a family holiday in the majority of families. The reasons for that are that people become more alone, they work too much, they think about their own problems, they are too busy to discuss the situation in the family and the majority of family members spend their time on the TV and computer. Today, in the era of the modern technologies, people have much more ways of communication, but, a paradox is that they become lonelier in reality. Online way of life is one of the main problems that occur in the families, and later follows the lack of attention, understanding and interest in each other’s life. It is hard to believe, but today the majority of family members see each other one or two hour a day, because of their work, studying or staying online most of the time. That is why the communication between family members becomes more difficult and challenging, and it sometimes seems that there is no way out of this.
All in all, each family faces conflicts and misunderstandings, but it is important to be able to solve them and live in harmony and in balance. It is also important to find some time to devote to your closest family members, to talk to them, to share something important and to ask for advice. It is also important to take into consideration that support and understanding are one of the main qualities that should exist in each family. Comfort, love and happiness are the indispensable feelings that should be valued by each family member and appreciate the family they have.
