Buy an essay on Gang Violence in America

Gang violence in America is one of the hottest issues of today’s reality. We know that it is becoming more and more popular among all layers of population, because, for example, local street gangs make our walk outside dangerous and parents worried about their children when they go to school or come back home. Gangs in America are a big threat and problem that need to be solved as soon as possible. Participants of different gangs greatly influenced by MTV music videos or by Rap music, they prefer certain style of cloth and behavioural patterns, they are looking for their victim everywhere and the most accessible group are children and teenagers, because their character is not enough formed and they have no possibility to protect themselves from gang violence.
According to statistical data, we know that gangs are also looking for new members and children or teenagers have two variants in these cases: to join one of the existent gang and maybe become criminal or become a victim and suffer from gang violence. In my opinion these two variants are abnormal, because in the first case, joining a gang doesn’t make adolescent safe, because he will be attacked by other gangs and in the second case, it is not normal that children have no possibility to develop in normal society without cruelty and violence. I think that gangs’ violence in America is not only problem of our society, but it is also problem for our government and increased of education in our classrooms and in our community about awareness and prevention of gang’s violence could help to change situation in the better side.
First of all, I think we should look attentively at the appearance of gangs in our society that will help us to understand their main characteristics and allow to plunge into the problem with more details. National School Safety Center (1988) demonstrated that “Gangs have been in existence for as long as there have been inhabitants of this world. The word thug dates back to India in the year 1200 AD and it refers to a gang of criminals (Thugz) that roamed the country pillaging towns in their course. These Thugz had their own symbols, hand signs, rituals and slang. In the United States, we grew up with tales of our own form of thugs like pirates and gangsters, therefore, gangs, undoubtedly, are not a new concept.” It becomes understandable that different preferences in gangs has very old roots and that is why members of gangs use specific symbols, like specific music and try to realize themselves in criminal way.
Youth crime – is one of the most investigated and, however, complex and multidimensional phenomenon, which has philosophical and sociological, psychological, social, psychological, psychiatric, and legal framework.
Deviant (under criminal law) behaviour of this social group over the past decade has acquired new qualitative and quantitative features. In the system of Arts has developed a separate interdisciplinary science – criminal study of the youth crimes (criminal juvenology), studying this problem. Its appearance is due to the objective need in-depth, comprehensive knowledge of the criminal activity of youth, especially implicated in the emergence and development of this phenomenon.
Criminal juvenology seeks the knowledge of all aspects of the manifestation of the interaction of youth with the social phenomenon of crime (juvenile delinquency, the identity of a young man who committed a crime, factor complexes of this type of crime, victimization issues, etc.). In describing the concept of its object polemic arose that affected the conceptual apparatus and, in particular, the very category of “youth crime”. Its specificity can be defined as at least three grounds: the criminal law, criminological, sociological.
I want to say in this paragraph that one of the most comprehensive definitions of “youth” is the next: young people – is a generation of people passing the stage of socialization, assimilate, and at an older age have already learned, educational, professional, cultural and other social functions, depending on the specific historical conditions of young people age criteria can vary from 16 to 30 years. Thus, the “youth crime” – is a set of socially dangerous acts, qualified by criminal law, committed by persons forming a social group, defined in a particular society as a youth (as well as the set of the perpetrators of these acts)
