What is unemployment? It is the situation when a person wants to have a job but there are no working places. It can happen when economic of a country decreases because of different reasons. What is the modern day situation?
According to the latest information (august 2010) in the West Midlands (England) the number of unemployment people fall down: last year 66 thousand people were unemployed; in the last quarter, just 27 thousand people rested without job. Unemployment decreasing fast especially in the West Midlands than in any other place.
What situation can we see among other countries? I want to give a quotation that shows the situation shortly: “Japan is in no position to help out. The US, sputtering as it is, is still the engine, For their part, the Europeans are incredibly slow about pulling down old hindrances and getting their own dynamic going. Yet here is still a chance—if it becomes organized—that Europe could become “number one by 2010” (according to the article by Norbert Walter “Is the Global Recession Over?”)
The second part of my project I want to dedicate to the situation in USA.
What are future forecasts? According to NBER researches regression that we can see now will be the most continuous regression at the USA history. NBER just hopes that present recession will not last more than 16 months. According to some opinions nowadays recession finished by April 2009 but truly specialists do not know yet when the situation would finish in deed.
As a conclusion, I can state that government is doing all possible to make the situation more stable. We need just to wait for the time when the level of unemployment decrease.
