I would like to discuss very important topic for our society and we will talk about prostitution and birth control. It is necessary to discuss this topic on the base of three articles in relate to necessary information. I would like to express my opinion about prostitution and birth control, summarizing all received from literature sources information and making own conclusion on their base.
In the beginning of this paper I want to mention that America like other countries has birth problems and a decision of demographic problem in the USA is not only aspiration to promote a birth-rate. It is a maintenance and continuation of children’s life, their health and deserving socialization. Human has only one chance to live own life. The periods of his infancy, childhood, adolescence, and youth are especially short. Exactly at this time the state must maximally care of the children. When our long-awaited children begin the trip in life, a family must conduct the child for one hand, and the state, for other. But prostitutes have no family and how they can have children and educate them… The question is sharp and disputable. In both articles about prostitution are discussed questions about negative sides of such activity and it is necessary to say that prostitution does damage dignity of personality who engaged in it and the same grows exceptionally into the source of extractive from it erotic pleasure.
Prostitution is a social disaster. It affects women, but also men, children and teenagers mostly (in two last cases a sin is accompanied by temptation). Prostitution is always deeply sinfully, but poverty, blackmail and social pressure, can soften responsibility for this sin. Articles stated that prostitution in general, and juvenile prostitution is inseparable from such social terms, as poverty, unemployment, homelessness. Don’t destroying them, removing of prostitution is impossible. In addition, it is needed clear to realize, who and from what we want to protect. Protecting society from infectious diseases, controlling birth of children, taking care of women and children –we protect them from sexual exploitation, people in general from a sin and immorality, but they are quite different tasks, requiring different methods.
An article “Meet, Pay, Love” proved that sexual service for money has enough deep social, psychological and sexual functions. It simplifies and accelerates sexual rapprochement, delivering a man from a necessity to take care of, observe some rituals. In principle a love game in itself delivers enormous pleasure, but there are men who do not interested in it or who are not able to conduct such game. Commercial sex delivers a man from responsibility, both social (in the case of pregnancy) and emotional. A normal sexual closeness supposes some personal, emotional involved, anxiety about a partner. Saying about birth control among prostitutes we should mention that the most popular variants are different kinds of contraception and abortion. Contraception is understandable term, but about abortion it is necessary to say several words. For example, about the utterly low level of being informed of women on questions of prophylaxis of abortions the analysis of frequency of abortions testifies in different age-dependent groups, showing, that more than 50% all breaking of pregnancy is on women in optimum reproductive age 20-29 years. Unfortunately, society avoids or is afraid sharply to discuss this problem. It is very comfortably to lay a woman to immorality, to name her a killer, to disregard her moral and physical sufferings. In many situations we forget that near, for example, 2 million abortions stand almost 2 million men. Are they really forget where children undertake “from” when they visiting prostitutes?
Thus, based on all above said I would like to say that prostitution and birth control are sharp topics for our society that connected with each other in very tight way. I understood, analyzing articles, that abortion is a sin, but in the case of prostitution it has dual nature, because many prostitutes are infected with different diseases and they are not healthy at all, that is mean their impossibility to born healthy child and take care of the baby. Abortion is harmful for women’s health and my strong persuasion is in statement that most abortions are the reflection of personality positions of indifference of people to their future and their nation prosperity.
