In this work we are talking about overweight (or overeating, which is the cause of first one) health problem, which is definitely widespread in the world. Especially, it takes place in the countries with high industry and economic level, because there are no problems with food: it is different and various and it is a big amount of it. Especially, the childhood obesity will be described. People, who are always busy and working, have no time to eat normal food, to have a full breakfast, dinner and supper. Thus, they have to eat a junk food, which is available almost everywhere among the city. Great role plays how food is look like. It is believed that sensation is the reaction of a receptor to stimulation whereas perception is the process of interpreting stimulation. Thus, food, which can satisfy these senses, calls the appetite. Let me talk about causes and difference between childhood obesity through the several decades.
Overeating: general points
A person, who overeats, is seemed to consume much more food, than they need. An energy that the person expends during the day must to be filled up, but not over the norm. The physical inactivity is the relative problem of overeating. That leads to increasing of the level of risk heart attack or stroke, depression, worse bladder control, weight gaining and other illnesses. The overeating can be compulsive when the obsessive relationship to food. The way of struggling with this problem are such individual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group therapy, which are seemed to bring benefits in helping such people to keep their appetite and eating habits in norm.
In addition, I must admit that the overeating problem worries a majority of modern people, because it harms. The overeating leads to overweight, which is hard to fight with. Physical activities should take place in your life regularly to avoid and prevent such problems. Traditionally, people, who have such problems, are more likely to be ill in other area of their body (heart, blood pressure). But it is said that stout and full-bodied people are less likely to be aggressive. Is it true? I am not sure. That depends on personality of person. Thus, not to have such problems, do not make it possible: do the exercises, eat as much as you expend your energy and eat slowly.
Childhood obesity
Center for nutrition policy and promotion has stated that in the 1940’s, as the Nation positioned itself to enter World War II, it became increasingly evident that many of our young recruits coming primarily from the farms and rural communities of America were bone-thin and hollow-cheeked to the point of failing their physicals (1998, pg 2). Moreover, through out the years taking in account the aid of programs of the Federal food assistance, expanding the production of agriculture, however, a growing economy too, malnourishment shortly after vanished. Nowadays, the situation we face is much worse then it was in past decades. Researches found that 1 in 5 kids is obese or even overweight. Childhood obesity is seemed to persist into the future adolescence, brining to a person a risk for hypertension, diabetes or even stroke. The eating habits are also formed in the childhood.

In addition, in 2004, one research report has shown that 16 percent of children who are from 6 to 9 years old (about 9, 5 million) are obese or overweight. Further still, 15 percent were at risk of becoming overweight or obese. To be correct, in the past a fat kid meant health kid. Such child was less likely to have an infection or disease. Obesity was seemed to be associated with strength, beauty, fertility and physical attractiveness. As Smyth mentioned, in the past decade, excessive fat has become the primary health problem in many parts of the world. In twentieth century America, we enjoy a standard of living that surpasses any standards in the past. We have powerful drugs, vaccinations, and technologies that cure illnesses and prolong our lives. Unfortunately, many nations in the world still suffer from these and other maladies. Yet, we are faced with other diseases that attack our bodies because of our living habits. We now have high rates of heart disease, cancer, stroke and obesity” (1999, pg 23).
