In fact, social workers should establish a strict control over the husband to protect Debbie and children from his abusive behavior (George, 1990). At this point, the husband may also need the psychological help to change his behavior and to support his wife.
Nevertheless, nurses play the crucial role in the treatment and nursing care of the patient. Instead, nurses should focus on the transpersonal caring relationships, in terms of which humanistic values will prevail in the work of nurses (McEwen & Wills, 2007). In such a situation, the patient will feel the support of other people that will make her life meaningful and purposeful. At the same time, the effective nursing will lead to the formation of a positive view of the patient on her future life and life of her children.
