The young adulthood is an important stage in the personal development of any individual. This is the stage when the basic moral, ethical and cultural values of an individual are shaped. At any rate, an individual lays a foundation to his or her set of values that will affect his or entire life. At the same time, the young adulthood is the transitional period from the youth to adulthood. What is meant here is the fact that the young adulthood is the time when individuals end up their learning and basic academic activities, on the one hand, and start their professional career, on the other.
This is an extremely important transition because till the young adulthood and the end of learning, individuals accumulate knowledge, social experience, develop their social relations and start their professional life. The latter means the new opportunity and new lifestyle because the beginning of the professional career implies the beginning of the new, independent life (Zastrow and Kirst-Ashman, 2007). As soon as individuals can start their professional career at the full extent, they become really independent of those who supported them during their college years or learning, for instance parents.
At the social level, the social relations of an individual become more diverse compared to the youth and adolescence because an individual needs to develop new social relations with people, who have a different social background, age, culture, personal philosophy, and so on.
Moreover, the young adulthood is the time, when people start their family life. As a rule, individuals create their family in the young adulthood. The marriage and family implies new responsibility and change of social roles of young adults. They become responsible spouses and young parents, who need to raise their children.
