From the very beginning I would like to focus on the fact that different words reflecting the same thing are used to reflect the personal attitude. I am going to present the “father” and “dad” and my vision on them. I think that they actually reflect formality of relations between the relatives “father” is more formal and “dad” is less formal, which is used to show love and care to your most close relative, especially during your childhood.  I came to such a conclusion after critical evaluation of the personal situation I have appeared in. To be honest I have never had a “dad”, I have a father, who abandoned my mother before I was born and return back to Poland. It should be noted that his interest to me and my problems was minimal, even when I arrived to Poland to visit my grandma; he was not really really interested in meeting me. He had another family and the other children. It was rather offensive to me and we did not have this close connection between a parent and a child, I have never shared my secrets with him and our relations were really formal. I have never called him “dad”, just “father” and nothing more. Comparatively to that my relation with my mom is really great and I can share with her everything I have. I can rely upon her and she always interested in my problems. That is shy I almost never call her “mother” when I speak with my friends or someone else about her. We have closer relations, which make us not only a parent and a child, but friends, who can rely upon each other. I am really happy that I have my mom, even I have no dad
