Premise
The premise of the story is the narration of the story of the main character Max, and his evolution throughout his life. In the course of the script, the main character changes and the main idea of the script is revealed. In this respect, the main idea of the script is the change of the individual in the course of his life under the impact of his social environment, education and searches of professional success and personal happiness. As the matter of fact, the script is a sort of the analysis of the personal and professional development of an individual.
Plot and structure
The plot of the script is relatively simple and, to a certain extent, naïve, if not to say simplistic. The script focuses on the story of the main character, who reveals significant capabilities in the field of math. He proves to be a gifted student, who is bored with the learning process because his knowledge and skills overcome those educators attempt to learn him to. At the same time, the main character, Max, keeps living in the world of his own dreams and ideas. He carries on his education successfully but steadily it becomes obvious that his inclination to math and science interferes into his personal life. In this respect, the conflict between professional life and personal life of the main character becomes one of the central conflicts in the entire script. On the other hand, the main character eventually manages to succeed and slips toward the development of normal social relations and starts a new life, where he combines successfully his professional life and personal life.
The structure of the script is linear. The action of the story unfolds in a logical, chronological order. The structure is relatively simple and logical. The actions of the characters develop the story and complications naturally follow up each other to convey the story. The scenes are changing respectively to the change of the plot and the audience can trace the evolution of the main character easily. At the same time, the structure is relatively poor in such stylistic devices as flashbacks. In addition, the structure of the script contains detailed descriptions of the visual elements and explanations of the development of the plot to make it comprehensible and easy to perceive.
Characters
Characters of the script have their own functions and roles in the story. The main character of the script is Max, who evolves and changes in the course of the story. Other characters are more or less closely related to Max. At the same time, each character is unique and has original traits of character which distinguish him or her from other characters in the script. In this respect, it is quite noteworthy that some characters are rigid, like Mr. Adams, who are unable and unwilling to change. They are skeptical and do not believe in consistent changes. On the other hand, there are characters, like the main characters, who cannot stand rigidness. These characters are active and inclined to change their life. In fact, these characters lead an active lifestyle and show that people can change their own life and build up their own life according to their needs and wants. At the same time, all characters are vulnerable to the impact of their social environment. The close interaction between characters leads to the formation of specific relationships and changes the life of characters.
Dialogue
Dialogues comprise an important part of the script. In fact, dialogues prevail in the script and it is through the dialogue the personal traits of characters, their inclination and characterization are revealed. In such a way, dialogues perform the function of the revelation of the characters and explanation of their key traits of character. At the same time, some dialogues are fragmentary and they stimulate the audience to guess the implicit meaning of the dialogue. The implicit meaning of dialogues is very important because they can help the audience to perceive the story in different ways. In fact, the implicit meaning make the perception of the story more diverse and original. In such a context, the development of the story depends on dialogues. At the same time, dialogues sound natural and colloquial, although some dialogues are formal that reveals the environment in which dialogues take place.
Visual elements
The script contains visual elements which help to perceive the story and facilitate conveying the main idea and message of the story. Basically, the visual elements help the audience to perceive the story with the help of vision. In such a way, visual elements back up the textual elements of the script. At the same time, it is important to take into consideration the fact that visualization stimulates the perception of the story with the help of different senses that increases the overall impact of the story on the audience’s perception. In other words, visual elements increase and influence the emotional perception of the story by the audience. On the other hand, visual elements may be sometimes difficult for the audience to understand without the explanation at the textual or verbal level. This is why visual elements are closely intertwined with textual messages.
Target audience
The target audience of the script is diverse but, in all probability, the script focuses mainly on the younger audience, including teens and young adults. At the same time, the script may be interesting for adults and probably the older generation. However, the latter may have difficulties with the perception of the story because of possible generation gaps. At any rate, the script focuses apparently on the story of the personal and professional development of the main character and the older audience cannot always adequately assess the evolution of the main character, while some of his actions may be treated as a challenge to existing social norms. On the other hand, the younger audience is likely to perceive the story adequately and younger people will enjoy the story of the main character, who changes consistently in the course of the story, overcoming difficulties and problems many teens and young adults face in their life in the course of their personal development.
Logline
Thus, the script conveys the story of the main character, who is gifted and has a great potential in his professional life. At the same time, it is obvious that the professional life of the main character prevents him from the personal happiness and development of positive social relationships and experience. In such a situation, the evolution of the main character turns out to be of the utmost importance. The script reveals the major problems the main character is face in the course of his personal development.
