In the life around us there are a lot of different sounds: the noise of trees, the rustle of autumn fallen leaves, the hum of bees, peals of thunder, whispers, timid breathing, the trilling of a nightingale, the city noise, the voices of people and animals. And, of course, music! It comes from TV sets, tape recorders and radio, from music schools, from concert halls, conservatories, from passing cars and windows of residential houses. Music accompanies the man for a long time, the modern man’s life is not normal without it. All people need music from classical plays to popular pop songs.
Music always plays different role in the life of every person. Someone likes rock, jazz, pop, classical or modern music. And no one condemns him or her for the taste and the style in music. Sometimes it happens that a certain direction is well suited to the nature of a man, and he feels and compares the text of a song with his inner world, his thoughts and dreams…
As for me, most of all I prefer jazz music. When I listen to the jazz music my heart trembles with the sound of a saxophone and with the overflow wave of a piano. I am a fan of live music. Sometimes there are moments in my life when I just want to relax and have a rest, then I turn on my compact disk stereo cassette receiver, find a disc with the jazz music and take pleasure in it.
Music is a variation of connection between time and place. For example, we always remember a song that encouraged us during a difficult time in our life or what was playing during a happy event like a first meeting or birthday party. In my opinion, every person has some songs that are very important for him, the songs that he connects with some events of his life. It’s like the soundtracks of our own lives. I am not an exclusion and I also have some songs that are special for me.
I have one song that I always associate with my childhood. This is the song of Frank Sinatra under the title “An Old Fashioned Christmas”. I don’t know why but this song brings back memories to my mother and father, to my sweet home. While listening to this song I always remember our favorite family holiday-Christmas, when we gathered together when I was a little child. And I feel some kind of nostalgia at hearing this song.
There is also one song that is associated for me with my adolescence. This is the song “Lover” by Frank Sinatra. For me my adolescence is connected with my love. And the words of this song describe perfectly well our relations and feelings to my lover.
When I want to have some comfort I always turn on the song “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble. This song always helps me to deal with disappointment and stress. As for me this is a very positive song and its melody and text infect me with the positive mood. I can even say that while listening to this song I have a desire to fly to the sky like a bird!
When I am happy I always listen to the “Cabaret” by Louis Armstrong. This is a really merry and lively song that I adore! All the problems go away when I hear this song!
Like a conclusion I would like to say that life is very quiet and lonely without music. Music helps me to cope with my daily activities, and it creates mood in the holidays. Music tells about everything by sounds like by words. No wonder that music is used for treatment and for creating the drawings inspired by different tones.
