In the current essay I will review the use of early childhood programs to promote and support children’s readiness for school and learning. I think that it is important to educate children from the early age, as the modern competitive environment requires too much from people. If children are not educated since they are kids, it will be difficult for them to study at school and university. Early childhood education (including preschool education, early childhood education or elementary education) is a discipline of educational science, which focuses on the age group of under 6-year-olds, the parents and the involved institutions (for example, nursery, kindergarten, preschool), according to Early childhood programs (2011).
Besides the content of science education content can be major field of study: Early childhood development, child psychology (developmental psychology); particular theory and practice of binding approach by John Bowlby; Methods of assessment of child development; Infant and parent-child observation; legal and institutional framework of education in early childhood; Family development, dealing with parenting; Preschool education in international comparison; Education and early intervention approaches; Social education (including social learning, development of social relationships); Preschool teaching (cross representations for learning in the preschool age). For studying, it usually includes job shadowing and internships, which are usually completed in institutions. In Western Europe there is largely the task of training teachers for schools; only in Germany, Austria and Malta and the training was organized outside the university.
So there was no program in Germany until 2003 for cadres training for child care centers on an academic level. Faced with a new educational and socio-political importance of early childhood education, the former technical school education for children and youth services in Germany has since been supplemented by a specialist on early childhood education missions of higher education. Offered in cooperation between several universities, the courses for the education, care and education in childhood to bachelor’s and master’s level, higher education across curricula and teaching methods for the professionalization of early childhood educators are being developed.
Besides the academic activities in universities and research institutes can be employed such as early childhood educators in these institutions, with leadership duties or concept development, or provide (expert) advice for these institutions or families. Another possible use of their expertise can be done in the media, dealing with early childhood.
Early childhood education is the level of education before basic education which is a construction effort that is intended for children from birth to age six years through provision of educational stimulation to assist the growth and development of physical and spiritual readiness in order to have a child entering further education, which was held in formal, non formal, and informal way.
Early childhood education is one form of education that focuses on laying the foundation toward growth and physical development (fine and gross motor coordination), intellect (the intellect, creativity, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence), socio-emotional (attitude and behavior as well as religious) language and communication, according to the uniqueness and stages of development through which early childhood, according to Early childhood education (2011).
