PCs play an important role in the life of the modern society. In fact, people can hardly lead a normal life without PCs. At the same time, the choice of a PC may be a challengeable task, especially if an individual wants to build up his or her own PC. If you want to save your money you will naturally chose building your own PC. However, to accomplish this task successfully you will need to have the basic information about PCs and define clearly what you want a PC for and what the purpose of the purchase of a new PC is. You may choose a spacious case, which allow you to upgrade equipment and hardware easily, if you need. Furthermore, you choose the power supply unit. Basically it is possible to recommend 380 V supply unit, which is enough for modern computers. After that you can chose a motherboard, which should match with your CPU. In this regard, it is possible to recommend AMD CPUs which is normally cheaper than Pentium CPUs, whereas the technical characteristics of the aforementioned CPUs are practically equal. In addition, you need memory, which is very important for the speed of processing of information and amount of information that can be processed. In this regard, 4 GB memory will be enough for a PC built up for an average student. Furthermore, you will need a hard drive. You may choose any hard drive but you should define the volume of data you are going to store and define the volume of your hard drive but, as a rule, 320 – 500 GB is enough. Naturally, you will need optical drives along with USP ports and cables. Finally, you will need cooling to keep your PC cool and video card. The video card should meet your needs but, if you are not going to buy PC as a multifunctional multimedia device, GeForce 9600 video card will do. The last step is the choice of the operating system. The best choice is Windows Vista, which is a reliable and popular OS today.
