Custom essays on Poem on Dante

In my opinion, Dante is a bright personality of all ages and times. Thinking about this person and basing on his masterpieces interpretation I want to emphasize that we could consider Dante a genius of our time and even a genius of the world literature. It is impossible to create something new and reflect thoughts better than Dante has made in his works of literature. I strongly believe that exactly Dante turned his creativity to the roars of a hidden passage, and yet completely original, with no one comparable. This “giant” – is a kind of visionary, who passed the world culture through itself and convert it into an absolute uniqueness and originality. It is important not inconceivable scholarship of Dante, but that, having absorbed a great culture, he created works of personal, subjective, no matter what diverse. We could state that knowledge of Dante, staying in the poet’s head, did not affect the essence of his art, but only gave it a certain flavor, making it the ornamental side of life.
I think that it is possible to understand point of view of the poet through works of literature written by him. In our situation, we have Dante’s The Devine Comedy and we could say that it is a kind of reflection of the writer’s ideas about the world. It seems to me that this comedy is conceived as a “vision”, the story of a journey around the world beyond the afterworld: Inferno – Purgatory – Paradise. And it’s not a deal in the religious beliefs of the Catholic Dante about the structure of the universe. The poem reflects the poet’s view of the world, his worldview, political opinions, sympathies and moral principles. It gives to me a liminal experience of the human condition understanding that is full of details and deep emotions.
Thus, based on all above stated information and my analysis of received knowledge I could come to the conclusion that in his poem Dante judges the dark forces of the Middle Ages, exposes the vices, exalts love, and glorifies acts of man. Dante’s memory and imagination were filled with images and aphorisms from the biblical writings, and he generously scattered them on the pages of his works. I think that every epoch wrote its own Bible and Dante’s The Devine Comedy is a Bible of his time.
