To begin with, it should be noted that the role of technology in the production process is extremely high. As a fact, the main task of technology lies in identifying the physical, chemical, mechanical, commercial, social, environmental and other laws of the nature, of the transformation of processed environments from one type to another in order to identify and use in wide practice the most efficient production processes.
It can be said that the concept of “technology” is generally considered in connection with a particular branch of production. There are different kinds of technology, among them are: design and engineering, obtaining a particular product (e.g. sulfuric acid), construction and chemical technologies. Also, there are technologies of information processing, metal stamping and money printing, banking and insurance, as well as PR technologies. As a result of the production process, which consists of a set of manufacturing operations, there is qualitative and quantitative change in cultivated environments, their shape, structure, material (technical) and consumer characteristics. Therefore, as the most common content of technology concept it is assumed the set of methods and ways of processing the various environments. It should be mentioned that according to this view on technology, each of them can be considered as a set of production, because every technology is designed to produce a new quality of the source material. However, depending on the specialization of the enterprise and organizational form of the production process, it is developed a certain priority in the technology (the main technology and support technology), its development and licensing for the society and the state.
According to John C. Koch (2011), it should be noted that Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) – is a concept, which describes the complete automation of manufacturing processes. As a rule, it means that all plant equipment is operating under the permanent control of computers, programmable controllers and other digital systems. It can be said that the usage of CIM allows factory take advantage from the power of analysis, calculation and computer processing at the service of market goods. As a fact, among the major benefits of CIM technology usage are: increase the capacity to manufacture parts, finished products or semi-using the same group of machines, reduce the impact on the manufacturing process of so-called “human” factor, as well as reduce the number of staff, which is required to service the plant. However, CIM technology requires that the tools usage is flexible and there is a possibility to modify their programming with the aim to adapt CIM to the new market requirements.
In turn, according to Team based Structure (2010), a team based structure of a company, as a rule, consists of the work of separate work groups or teams, which perform the organization’s work. It is essential to note that management style is such “teams” is very liberal and often important decisions are made inside the teams, without aligning them with the top management. In other words, top management sets the task and time frame for each team, which, in turn, decides itself how to achieve the results in time and meet the allocated budget. However, it should be mentioned that effective team structures should consist of like-minded persons, team players, who want to achieve positive results. Moreover, employees should be prepared to work on teams and have cross functional skills training.
