The last theory to be addressed is Marx’s socialism and socialists feminism. It should be outlined that Marks views were pretty similar to Weber’s ideas. Karl Marx claimed that society is divided into two classes: proletariat and bourgeoisie. He viewed the proletariat class as the working class who did not have any means of production of their own. The bourgeois was referred to the class that was made up of the owners of the means of social production. Marx thought that the proletariat class should rebel against the bourgeoisie (Woods). In other words, the way to get the social equality is proportional division of social production among all members of community. As the derivative from socialism theory, Marx was persuaded that when class oppression is overcome, gender oppression would vanish as well. According to socialist feminists, this view of gender oppression as a sub-class of class oppression is naive and much of the work of socialist feminists has gone towards separating gender phenomena from class phenomena (Woods).

Talking about Mark’s views in the aspect of “Nickel and Dimed” by Barbara Ehrenreich there are several considerable points. Obviously, we are able to draw parallels with “low wage employees” and “exploitative treatment”. However, the origins of these problems hardly can be explained just by Marx’s ideas about social producing means division, as plenty of other issues are involved into these problems. Therefore, theory of Weber is much more suitable to get the nature of social injustice. Moreover, socialists feminism is not suitable to be interpreted in terms of the experience obtained by the author.
