The design process involved in commercial and residential architecture is full of different nuances. Design is a combination of creativity, functionality, and comfort. I’d like to discuss two types of design through the body of this paper. In my opinion it will be interesting to talk about the topic of residential vs. commercial interior design, because there are two big differences between them.
Analyzing residential design we can note that it in a great degree focused on family needs, because in many cases it is design for places where people live and it has another approaches and methods of realization. Commercial design has another purpose, because it characterized by business standards and people there work. Commercial design must be realized in specific business purposes and it must be the component of surrounding community of building. Undoubtedly, residential design also has its own features which necessarily must be taken into account in development of design project.
It is necessary to mention that the main aim in both cases it is creation of an ideal place, that will make it not simply attractive, but also ergonomics, functional and comfort. Designers should understand that everybody is unique, that every person has inherent only to him necessities and desires. Fully naturally that individuality must be expressed and both types of design. In the interior of must be carefully thought out each, even the littlest and, it would seem, insignificant detail. Creation of comfortable and harmonious living and working environment is the main aim of each kind of design in its specific area.
Thus, talking about residential vs commercial interior design it becomes understandable that both of them have own specific characteristics that create their uniqueness and formed different approaches to their modeling.
