Thermal infrared diagnostic tool provides mold solutions, inspections, cleanup, as well as asbestos removal. Also asbestos inspections and hazardous waste management services are provided. Building inspection has such services as residential, commercial, industrial and also public buildings. Nowadays, with the help of the thermal infrared different issues can be pinpointed, for example roof leaks or plumbing leaks. And also, it is possible to identify the energy efficiency without any need for destructive investigations with the help of thermal infrared for the building inspection.
Creating thermograms on the basis of thermal imaging has found many applications. For example, firefighters use them to detect smoke, finding people and setting fires. With thermal imaging technology, serving the power transmission line, exhibit overheating joints and parts in an emergency condition requiring the elimination of potential hazards. When disturbed insulation, builders can see heat leaks and prevent complications during the cooling or heating air-conditioning systems.
All objects with temperatures above absolute zero emit infrared radiation. Consequently, a great way to measure the thermal changes is to use your infrared vision, usually block the focal plane imager is capable of detecting radiation in the medium and long wave infrared bands, and two infrared windows with high transmittance. Incorrectly selected range of temperatures investigated on the surface of the object, indicates a potential problem. In passive thermography of special interest to increase or decrease in the natural temperature level is compared to the ambient temperature. In passive thermography there are many applications, as surveillance of people on stage or in medicine.
In active thermography otherwise – there must be a source of energy to create the temperature contrast between the interests of the object and background. A proactive approach is needed in many cases, when parts are studied in thermal equilibrium with the environment. Modern thermal imagers allow using special software to determine the temperature at each point of the thermogram.
Advantages of the thermal infrared and thermography:
– Maybe show a visual image that helps in comparing temperatures over a large area;
– Enables the capture of moving targets in real time;
– Allows you to find the emergency elements before they are out of order;
– Measuring in areas where other methods are impossible or dangerous;
– Nondestructive inspection;
-Facilitates the search for defects in the columns or other metal parts.
There also exist limitations and disadvantages, which include:
– High-quality cameras and roads are easily damaged;
– Images of hard to understand even for professionals;
– Most cameras have ± 2% or less accurate;
– Education and maintenance of the state expert on infrared scanning requires time and cost;
– The ability to measure only surface temperatures.
Nowadays thermal infrared is commonly used for heating rooms and outdoor spaces. Infrared heaters are used to organize the main or additional heating in the premises (houses, apartments, offices, etc.), as well as for the local heating of outdoor spaces (outdoor cafes, pavilions, terraces). This modern technology can identify the missing insulation, plumbing leaks, or structural defects. Today thermal infrared technology as a diagnostic tool for building inspection is very helpful in locating such problems as electrical hazards or minor roof leaks before it is too late.
