Diverse population is debatable topic in our society nowadays. Analyzing political events, we see that immigration reform was the question number one in various journals and magazines through the whole history of the country. The racially-ethnic variety of population in the USA increases rather fast. It is necessary to think about immigration reform as significant political event in the body of this essay.
The document with the full title Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009 (CIR ASAP) allows diverse population to receive new perspectives in the new country. According to this document immigrants will receive opportunity to change their illegal status in the country on the legal and to realize their American dream. The main theses of this document, which is now intently study human rights and advocate organizations include the basic requirements to legalization and they did not become a surprise for people. Illegal immigrants should work hard, study English, pay a fine in size of $500 and do not have criminal biography to get a residence permit. On the calculations of experts the last point about absence of criminal biography will destroy dreams about legalization for 20% – 25% habitants without documents.
One more fact in this area shows us legal immigrants opportunities and their future perspectives, because this unique legal stream of people is accepted within the framework of the program of maintenance of ethno cultural variety. Unlike many countries, aspiring to the mononational state, the United States cares of as many as possible various ethnic, cultural and confessional groups will be presented among the population of the country. Therefore, for countries, do not having prehistory of migratory relationships with the USA, the special lotteries of “green card” are conducted, and for the representatives of similar categories there is priority in the receipt of entrance visas.
Thus, taking into account above stated information we see that the U.S. make big steps to address the needs of a diverse population and that is why people have good perspective for the future life and development in this country.
