part 3: peer Reviewing process
The essay that is peer-reviewed is a Self-Assessment essay. My task lies in reviewing the essay, that is a process of subjecting an author’s work, making the research of its main ideas, identifying strengths and weaknesses. In general a the peer review process is in which reviewer comments and criticizes the author by revising the essay. This method of testing of work through the criticism of peers is one of the important scientific methods.
Good review is an important and responsible work, so I appreciate the peer-reviewing as a good opportunity and experience, and find this work informative. A good review takes substantial intellectual effort and time.
My approach to the peer reviewing is to be resolutely respectful, that does not mean failing to demand justification, explanation, and clarity; or avoiding a criticism and corrections. But this means that I was reading with patience, objectivity, and was open to new ideas and approaches, was trying to understand what the author wanted to say, his main ideas and views.
I accept an opportunity to review an article if the topic is of interesting to me, and self-assessment is really interesting and important for me topic. It was just interesting for me to know what a sort of person the author is, how he assess and view him self . The author holds the same view as I do that “self-assessment is always a challengeable task because people always attempt to conduct a self-assessment but they do not always succeed in this regard”.

Part 4: revising process
I then read the article closely, focusing primarily on understanding the athor’s idea and what he wanted to show ain the work. I have found some errors in the method of presentation the material. What sorts of problems do I encounter? I will give some categories, descriptions, and a few examples below. My intent was to characterize each problem of presenting the ideas.
So I pointed that many problems arise from failure to apply available, specific knowledge. The author have not applied relevant basic knowledge of psychology, so the information was not supported by the facts or evidence. Another problem I pointed was that the essay was poorly focused and organized. The thrust of a paragraph, for example, should be clear at the beginning, as a “topic sentence.”
It was sad to say how often author fail to develop his ideas systematically, i.e., to lead the reader through thinking and coming up to the most important part, with clear conclusion at the end. This logical structure should be present in all the items of the essay, so that individual thoughts and ideas were clearly presented and understandable for readers. The introduction-discussion-conclusion structure was not strictly adhered. And also the author failed to be explicit about the logical structure of the essay, for example by failing to specify goals, hypotheses, and conclusions, perhaps under the illusion that the logical structure of the essay is so obvious.
My approach and method of revising was asking the general question like “What is missing?”. Some examples: Have the author acknowledged reason able hypotheses? Has he given the arguments? Also during revising I madke notations to list the main issues.

part 5: Assessing
The strongest aspect of my review to determine if the topic of the peer-reviewed essay was important. I tried to evaluate if the essay appears to provide a convincing answer to a question of current interest. And it was already said that I arrived to the idea that this topic is interesting for me and the audience for many reasons:
– First of all because the self-assessment is important to define clearly the progress of personal development ;
– The audience is interested in psychology because it is always interesting to get acquainted with one’s self-assessment to be able to avoid pitfalls of self-assessment made by others in the course of their own self-assessment;
– process of self-assessment is always a challengeable task, because people always attempt to conduct a self-assessment but they do not always succeed, as it is closely connected with the inadequate self-esteem or self-awareness.
