In actuality, baptism is not a mere transition from the pre-baptism life of an individual, which may be sinful, to a new, truly Christian life but also an important element of the transition of individuals to their afterlife. In this respect, it is important to refer to the concept of resurrection of both Jesus Christ and all baptized people. In actuality, baptism has a symbolic meaning of salvation of believers. This means that their faith should be strong and they should follow the lifestyle recommended by Christian religion and philosophy. In such a context, baptism is also important because baptism is an essential rite which true believers should pass through to get closer to God. Baptism contributes to the purification of believers and their readiness to become true Christians. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that baptism implies the public act of transition to Christianity. At the same time, it is important to understand that the term life is quite different from the conventional concept of life because the afterlife in the Kingdom of God is supposed to be quite different from the regular life people are accustomed to. The afterlife implies the existence of the life where Christian rules and norms rules and define all actions and thoughts of believers. Believers grow stronger in their belief in the afterlife due to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who did not just survive but also keeps living among believers. At the same time, average believers do not have any power over death. In other words, they cannot decide when they should die or whether they should carry on living or die. Instead, it is up to the God to decide the life and death of believers. Obviously, the self-resurrection is not available to ordinary people but their faith can help them to survive their death and to resurrect similarly to Jesus Christ. In such a context, baptism becomes a key toward the resurrection of believers because Jesus Christ passed through the rite of baptizing and stressed the importance of this rite for true believers to the extent that baptism became an integral part of Christianity which disciples and followers of Christ spread worldwide following his advices and preaches.
