The international drug trafficking began to develop from the mid-1970s, having its apex in the 1980s. This development is closely linked to the global economic crisis. The drug trade provides the economies of the coca growers, whose main exports have suffered successive drops in their prices (although most of the profits do not stay in those countries) and at the same time, mainly favors the global financial system. The money from the drug corresponds to the logic of the financial system, which is highly speculative. The drugs are produced on a global scale, from growing up in developing countries consumption, especially in Western countries, where the final product reaches a high value on the market, as stated in Drug use prevention, treatment and care.
Drug use has serious social consequences: crime, violence, corruption, marginalization, among others. Many countries in the world prohibit the production, distribution and sale of these substances. Even the high social class provides users, although some people still have the prejudice that only the poor, such as slum dwellers, are the users. In many countries there are social movements, pro-legalization of different drugs, which are declared illegal by the laws of the countries, as U.S. agents claim. That is why the primary measures that will be taken include the strictest control of the production of the countries all over the world.

It will be possible with the tight cooperation between the countries to combat the existing problem that influences the whole world. When the production of the drugs will be limited and eliminated, then there will be easier to control the drug trafficking until it disappears at all. As a fact, there is so much money spent on the drug problem, but there are still no effective results of it. To reduce the drug trafficking in any possible ways is essential because the world will lose millions of people if the problem is not solved.
On August 1, U.S. National Guard troops will begin patrolling the Mexican border, official sources in the White House. The personal order of Barack Obama stated that 1200 of the guardsmen would take control of border areas, most are available for illegal immigrants and drug traffickers. The soldiers will be fully equipped, but they will be allowed to shoot only in self-defense. Their primary mission will be to identify routes used by illegal immigrants and drug traffickers to cross the border. Further information will be transferred to border guards. National Guard soldiers will stay on the border of the year, after which U.S. authorities hope to minimize the possibility of illegal hit on U.S. ground. The largest number of military leave for Arizona, the rest will be distributed to all the three U.S. states bordering on Mexico. “On the border will be taken unprecedented security measures, but much remains to be done,”- said the representative of the Border Service, Alan Bersin. In May of this year, Obama urged lawmakers to seek additional funds in the amount of $ 500 million to enhance border security with Mexico. These measures are necessary to prevent the possible and also the obvious drug trafficking through the U.S. border. Any decisions, new ideas and innovative approaches that are aimed to deal with the problem should be immediately implemented in cooperation with other countries.
