There are many religious direction exist today in our society. I decided to choose Christianity for my analysis and I will discuss it with more details in the body of my paper. This religion appeared many centuries ago and its moral and ethical principles are popular even in our days.
I would like to analyze appearance of Christianity in this paper and mark out its main characteristics. Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings and life way of Jesus of Nazareth as it is really presented in the New Testament. Christianity is the most numerous religions in the world. There are more than 2 milliards of Christians in the world nowadays. Christianity arose up in Palestine in the middle of the I century AD. The first Christians by nationality were Jewries, on the past to the religious world view – by Israelites.

But already in the second half of the I century Christianity became international religion. Primary Christians have a Greek as the language of international intercourse (as well as in the state of that time). From point of view of servants of cult, main and unique reason of origin of Christianity was evangelical work of Jesus Christ, who was simultaneously both God and man. Jesus Christ, the servants of cult talk, in appearance of a man came on earth and brought people truth. About his advent on earth (it a taking place advent is named the first, unlike the second, future) told in four sacred books which are named Gospel.
According to historians-materialists point of view, the main reason of origin of Christianity was heavy terms of life of the masses which in new religion searched on their own comfort. At the same time modern historians do not deny that a Christ-preacher (but not God) was and that his evangelical activity was one of factors of forming of new religion.
In my opinion it is necessary now to discuss Christianity not only as religion, but also pay attention on the answer on important question of our today’s society: Does the Christian dictum of “love your enemies” make sense to modern American culture? This question is simple and hard at the same time, because many centuries ago there was only one answer on the question and it was unshakeable answer that all people should live in accordance with the Holy Bible rules and principles, but now people have right of choice and this question receive disputable question. I was looking for information in different literature sources and talking with people, who believe in God and I want to express my opinion about this moment in our life today.
