The most anxious aspect of the problem is the harm which drugs inflict to the young generation, and the threat of the future of every country related to it. Like adult drug addicts, teenagers, having got hooked on drugs are ill more frequently and skip school and they are more disposed to accomplish illegal actions. Drugs are everywhere.
Drugs will destroy your life and your future. You have a full authority to live, to make merry and to have fun as you like. You can change your conceptions, to live better. But drugs do not bring happiness. The source of authentic pleasure and gladness is in you. Open it!
And, although we can pursue the merchants of drugs by law and to try to prang their nets of sale, there will not be an end of this work. Everybody, who has worked in this sphere for some time understands it. While there is demand for the forbidden drugs, there will always be persons interested in satisfying of this demand. This is simply the law of the market, drugs are merchandise here.
A man must find something valuable and attractive to him in an ordinary human life to stop completely taking drugs. The experience of drug addicts who have ender gone treatment and could at least give up drugs tells convincingly about it.
Spiritual reality has nothing in common with narcotic dreams and does not take a man away from life and society. Drugs cut off a man from the world, lock him in itself. Spiritual perception exposes mind and feelings of a man, allows to feel the world in a considerably greater range than ever before without any drugs. A man finds out the unity with other people, connection with the nature and sense of his own life in a general system of the universe.
Experience of the spiritual understanding can serve as a necessary stimulus for returning of the man who has lost his way in drugs, to the life among people, and gladness, accompanying opening of the spiritual world, will support him in the gravest conditions.
Drug addiction is an anthem of the market economy of western type. A brilliant example of creation of an unnecessary and non-existent initially for a person need with the purpose of receipt of the super profit; creation of the problems profitable not only to the drug dealing but also to all, however cruelly it sounds, who gets money for the fight against it or for the help to the drug addicts: to the law enforcement authorities, various legal offices, private experts in narcology, even to eleemosynary organizations, officials. They are profit by supporting existence of social problems, pumping out money from their victims or (and) from the pockets of taxpayers, clients. It is advantageous to fight with the problem eternally, but not to liquidate it. To confirm the aforesaid it is enough to remember how deputies – representatives of different factions – submitted for consideration the bill, allowing to produce drugs on private firms.
Until the person will not be valued higher than income in society and state, the problem of drug addiction will exist. In all the countries of the West it exists. But it is necessary and possible to restrain the raging of the drug addiction. It is necessary to create for this purpose an effective counterbalance to the aspiration to get an income at any cost. A prime example is the countries of Western and North Europe. Yes, as well as in all the countries with the market economy of western type, the problem of drug addiction exists there. But most citizens of these countries realize the danger of drugs. And not just realize, but unite the efforts through different public organizations in a fight against this evil. Feeling an effective influence from the side of the citizens’ power, organs, called to fight with the drug addiction, not only have to care of the profits but also to decide the problem.
When most citizens of the country, for their own sake and the sake of their relatives, realize the necessity of such actions and begin to carry them out, then the new relations which will be able to put a barrier to the development of drug addiction will grow from the depths of the society.
For this purpose people must feel the personal involvement into this problem. The sociological questionings show that the problem of drugs is realized by the citizens as one of the sharpest one. However they realize the problem in general, but in an abstract manner from themselves. A person, while his child did not start to take drug, while he or someone from his relatives did not fall a victim to drug addicts, believes blindly, that this problem will not touch .personally him. It is usually not a secret who trades in drugs, and even who delivers them for the habitants of such towns. If the parents of schoolboys (and this is about one thousand men) showed civil consciousness and united their forces, they would stop (even without the participation of law enforcement authorities) the distribution of drugs not only at school but also in the city.
Based on all above stated we can make a conclusion, that the problem of drugs and society really exists and has a destructive character. Thus, while most people do not realize the problem of drugs as their personal, it is impossible to wait the active civil affecting on the imperious structures. Law enforcement authorities without active support from the society will be able only to restrain the speed of the distribution of drugs. I am sure that we must fight with this problem, and not just to watch how it destroys our life.
