At an early age the child starts to understand his needs, and a variety of interests based on them. The main driving force behind the continuing development of the child during this period is the cognitive interest, first to the process of taking actions, and later – in their result. Raising children in adolescence, the transition from primary to secondary school, is marked by the fact that the child is gradually emerging from the influence of parents and teachers. During this period, raising a child is complicated by special physiological processes leading to increased excitability of the nervous system and, consequently, the imbalance of the child’s behavior.
This period is characterized by a heightened sense of adulthood, the desire to get rid of senior care. Range of interests of a teenager is largely determined by him, rather than the result of parental influence. At this age there are strengthened friendships with their peers, new authorities – both in the immediate vicinity, and among the famous people or even of literary and movie heroes. In the process of raising children in this period, it is important to be sensitive and tact, respect for individuality and the right to self-sufficiency of each child. A big role in this period may play an awakening of interest in self-education that is based primarily on a desire to imitate your favorite characters.
