When listing, don’t get caught in the drop-and-write trap. That’s when every document has the same structure . . . again and again and again. You’ll get bored, and you’ll end up creating documents as exciting as stale toast. Equally important, you’ll miss a great opportunity to present your ideas in the most convincing way possible. To avoid this trap, pick from the following list of ten top orders or invent your own. You may want to mix several orders. If so, use transitions to take your readers from one to the next.
